Kelly Government Solutions is a strategic supplier and business partner to the federal government and its key suppliers.  Through our partnership with the National Institutes of Health, Kelly Government Solutions offers administrative, IT, engineering, scientific, and healthcare professionals the opportunity to work with the leading medical research center in the world.  We are seeking an individual to work as an Executive Assistant – Science Communications at the National Institutes of Health.  Role is estimated to support a hybrid work arrangement that involve on-site work 1 day/week on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD. 
 
This is a long-term contract position which offers:

TASKS/SERVICES. The contractor shall: 
(1) Coordinate the day-to-day office operation and perform high-level administrative duties including administrative, procedural and informational support to staff and management by organizing, collecting, analyzing and presenting information for the NIAMS Science Communications and Outreach Branch (SCOB).
(2) Assist with coordination and execution of multiple communications programs and projects
(3) Track and control files related to communications projects
(4) Provide calendar and scheduling support to SCOB leadership and staff
(5) Provide executive expertise needed to coordinate, improve and oversee the overall functioning of the office.
(6) Coordinate meetings, conference calls, seminars, workshops and courses for staff, schedule conference rooms; maintain tracking system for all activities.
(7) Prepare summaries, reports, agendas, handouts, background materials, presentations, and slides
(8) Keep government abreast of all commitments via the maintenance of daily calendar.
(9) Maintain databases for tracking, analyzing and reporting of all activities including professional activities, travel and project management.
(10) Review and summarize the content of incoming materials, specially gathered information, or meetings
(11) Monitor compliance with program policies and procedures; identify strategies to ensure that program and contractual compliance is maintained.
(12) Develop and/or complete forms and prepare for staff’s signatures.
(13) Provide status reports on the progress on managing these projects/activities and collaborating with appropriate staff. 
(14) Research and provide information requested; maintain status of projects; follow up on actions through contact with office staff 
(15) Prepare purchase requests, maintenance agreement and draft justification for government signature of needed office supply items

REQUIREMENTS. The contractor ideally would have: 
(1) Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Public Health, Communications, or related discipline
(2) Executive level support experience that include meeting coordination, drafting meeting minutes/summaries, reports, travel planning, and calendar management; knowledge of federal travel regulations and Concur helpful 
(3) Experience/exposure to science and health related communications and outreach efforts preferred including use of Canva, social media, and website management
