Kelly Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Owner’s Rep in Seadrift, Texas! The Mechanical OR provides coordination, technical support, and troubleshooting for the Commissioning and Start-Up of a new facility at the Seadrift, Tx location. Role will oversee and optimize Mechanical commissioning and start-up across a range of equipment including pump, motors, gearboxes, and agitators. Role will provide input during the Construction phase to ensure the equipment will meet the needs of the Maintenance and Operations Team. Role will direct Millwright/Machinists to ensure equipment has been commissioned and prepared for Operations personnel following the project schedule. Role will serve as first line technical support to Millwrights during commissioning and start-up. Role will serve as Technical SME if field machining is required. Role will work in conjunction with Operations to start-up the equipment and place equipment in service, performing function testing and validations of equipment to ensure equipment delivers as designed.
Responsibilities
- Serves as Mechanical Technical Support SME for Rotating Equipment Commissioning and Start-up personnel (Millwrights). Will escalate issues if required based on complexity of issues.
- Directs Millwright Craftsmen to ensure work is completed in line with the project schedule, to eliminate delays impacting start-up.
- Provides input on System Turnover Walks to ensure equipment has been constructed in a way that is safe and reliable and meets Maintenance and Operations requirements in alignment with Loss and Prevention Principles, EMETL, Site Mechanical Safety Standards, MET and Global Maintenance and Reliability Practice requirements.
- Provides technical support for start-up of equipment and performance testing of rotating equipment during the start-up phase.
- Ensures that all commissioning and start-up activity meets the requirements of the Loss and Prevention Principles, EMETL, Site Mechanical Safety Standards, MET and Global Maintenance and Reliability Practice requirements.
- Provides training and coaching to the area Millwrights to improve the knowledge base as they relate to new assets included within this project.
- Coordinates with Site Predictive Maintenance Teams for validations and testing of new equipment, which may include but not limited to, Vibration, Oil Analysis, Flow Measurement, etc.
- Serves as Quality Assurance Representative for all rotating equipment commissioning and start-up activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5-7 years of related experience required, 7-10+ years of related experience preferred
- Proficiency within MS Office and SAP
