CNC MACHINIST OPPORTUNITY IN CHESAPEAKE, VA!
Position Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: Chesapeake, VA
- Shift: 7am-3:30pm M-F or 2pm-1am M-TH
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately read and follow technical blueprints and schematics in both imperial and metric measurements
- Efficiently set up and operate CNC machinery and related equipment to achieve precise machining results
- Utilize a range of measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, to inspect and verify part accuracy
- Calculate and verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure that parts meet exact specifications
- Adjust and maintain equipment to optimize performance and ensure high-quality outputs
Requirements:
- Experience in operating various manual, semi-automatic, and CNC machines within a high-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with manual machining
- Experience in CNC machining, demonstrating expertise in complex setups and operations
- Proficiency with advanced measuring instruments and tool setters
- Expertise in evaluating geometric features such as perpendicularity, parallelism, and concentricity with precision
- Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to interpret detailed technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality and integrity
