Job Title: Electronics Technician
Location: West Melbourne, FL
Pay rate: $26/hour
Term: Permanent / Full time
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, evaluating, and repairing RF electronic devices and products, ensuring they perform as intended. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in electronics manufacturing and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PCBA, unit, and top-level testing and analysis; troubleshoot and repair products to meet performance requirements.
- Record and maintain detailed troubleshooting and repair documentation.
- Utilize technical expertise to determine the most cost-effective service/repair level (unit, PCBA, or component).
- Provide technical assistance to Production, Service, and Engineering departments as needed.
- Support the development and maintenance of procedures and work instructions.
- Identify and document opportunities for design/process improvements for Manufacturing, Service, and Sales (DFM/DFX).
- Calibrate and maintain test stations and equipment to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Perform duties with minimal supervision and undertake additional tasks to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate of Science in Electronics Engineering (ASEE) or Electronics Engineering Technology (ASEET) degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, service, and/or repair.
- Proficiency in RF, digital, and analog circuitry.
- Ability to understand and follow established work processes.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Work is typically performed in a standard factory and office environment requiring:
- Physical activities such as walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Frequent lifting or moving items over 50 pounds.
- Vision capabilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Handling of test equipment, tools, and parts; keyboard manipulation.
- Ability to communicate troubleshooting issues effectively.
- Operation of PCs and other maintenance equipment.
- Potential travel between floors and office buildings.
- Physical activities such as walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
