Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Location: Troy, MI
Shift: Full Time (7:00am – 4:30pm)
Compensation: $18 /hour
Temp-to-Hire
 
Job Summary:
Our Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for all items coming in and being shipped out of our facility. Along with Logistics this clerk will also be responsible for tasks including but not limited to Delivering internal packages and mail, Handling packaging and crating, management of fleet vehicle, and general operation tasks.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for damage, defects, or discrepancies.

  • Complete Goods receipt for all applicable items.

  • Internal mail and package delivery.

  • Ships out requested packages.

  • Preparing and processing shipping documentations, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs declarations.

  • Coordinating and scheduling carrier pick-up and deliveries.

  • Packing outgoing items, as well as gathering quote and getting approvals for custom crating as required.

  • Load, transport, and delivery of critical test items such as Samples, Equipment, testers, Fixtures, and other packaging items.

  • Manages our box truck and Fleet vehicle.

  • Tracks and schedules fleet vehicles and ensure proper usage

  • Schedules and manages box truck and Fleet vehicle maintenance

  • Tracking and management of warehouse space

  • Responsible for general cleanliness of work space and warehousing area

 
 Requirements:

  • Valid Michigan’s Driver’s License with a clean driving record

  • Ability to meet DOT driving requirements and pass DOT physical

  • Ability to pass Fork Truck certification test

  • Must be able to life 50+ lbs.
