What’s a typical day as a Slitter Operator? You’ll be:
• Supporting press operators during production by feeding press with materials, remounting, replacing, repairing, and requesting plates and tooling.
•  Following docket instructions and verifying the availability of plates, tooling, ink, and material mentioned on the job docket.
• Staging jobs according to the production schedule.
• Mounting plates, tooling, tags cassettes, assembling doctor blades, and assembling rotary screens using mounting stations.
• Inspecting cylinders and gears for damage and taking action to initiate repairs when warranted.
• Safely operating and inspecting pre-staging equipment such as cranes, mounting stations, plate cutters, and forklifts.
• Participating in cleanup and maintenance duties, including general housekeeping and adhering to recycling guidelines.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate.
• Have at least one year of print manufacturing, production, or operations experience.
• Mechanically inclined preferred (using basic tools, ex: screw driver, measuring tape, etc.)
• Have the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.
