Salary: $85-90,000 (negotiable/commensurate with experience) + benefits
Overview
Reporting to the Sr. Quality Assurance Supervisor will develop, implement, and maintain Quality processes to assure our products meet or exceed standards, regulatory guidelines and customer & consumer expectations within the factory. They will provide technical expertise and support to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements, product quality, and food safety. This person is also responsible for utilizing tools such as trend analysis to achieve continuous improvement and business objectives.
Scope of the Role
- People and know-how: Drive continuous improvement and integration of Quality and Food Safety competencies within Operations through use of Lean tools and methodologies. Drive continuous improvement in Quality Functional area competencies.
- Food Safety and Quality Compliance: Development, implement and manage the factory Quality Management Scheme (QMS). Ensure compliance and improvement of Food Safety and Hygiene (HACCP), Product Compliance and Good Manufacturing Practices throughout the facility supporting the Quality Manager and Food Safety Supervisor. Manage timely and appropriate release disposition of finished product ensuring full safety, compliance as well as consumer preference and trust.
- Continuous improvement and root cause analysis: Provide process improvement implementation including root cause analysis and preventive action supporting operations in Asset Intensity and Cost of Non-Quality reduction programs. Monitor key priorities (Right the First Time) and trends to drive structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Compliance: Maintain full compliance of products with regulatory, driving quality culture initiatives through autonomous execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of Quality experience
- Prior supervisory experience in a factory highly preferred
- Demonstrated capability to lead a group
- Experience in regulated food manufacturing environment with exposure to 21 CFR 106, 21 CRF 107, 21 CFR 110, lean manufacturing philosophy, and FSSC 22000/SQF regulations.
