Title: R&D Manager, Household Cleaning 
Location: Bridgeview, IL
Salary: $100-120k + Benefits   

SUMMARY 
The R&D Manager is responsible for departmental oversight including the identification, development and launch of successful new products. The R&D manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining a laboratory that meets OSHA and corporate safety requirements. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY
•    Develop and maintain a laboratory that meets OSHA and corporate safety requirements. 
•    Partner with sales, strategy and new business development to identify new product opportunities, manage project portfolio and work assignments. 
•    Coordinate with purchasing for the identification of new materials and technology.?
•    Identify market opportunities, build business case and define product vision and strategy 
•    Assist with budget preparation, tracking and variance reporting
•    Partner with the leadership team to manage the Stage Gate process and reporting 
•    Track and report on objectives and deliverables, presenting monthly data regarding status, output and schedule adherence 
•    Support Quality in complaint investigations and rejected batch diagnostics 
•    Assist in the development and publication of chemical/packaging/product specifications in partnership with Specifications and Documentation 
•    Perform bench work as required Lead, mentor and develop team members 

QUALIFICATIONS
•    BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Packaging or Biology 
•    Minimum?5-7 years experience in R & D, particularly with CARB regulated products 
•    Working knowledge of R & D process & practice 
•    Experience in Data Analysis & Report Writing 
•    Strong leadership background as part of a project team
