Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a Pilot Plant Tech (Dow/Dupont Rotating Shift) for a Long Term Contract opportunity in Wilmington, DE.

Job tasks include:
1.            Conduct routine analytical tests in support of the HPU pilot plant operation.  A variety of tests are performed on a 1-12 hour schedule, primarily for analysis of dry polyolefins resin.
2.            Record test result in appropriate laboratory notebook and/or enter data in lab data collection system.
3.            Clean and maintain laboratory equipment as needed
4.            Work with customers to manage and complete any non-routine lab analysis needed.
5.            Work in a shared work environment to ensure that all laboratory systems are operated and calibrated correctly.
5.            Complete items promptly assigned to lab resource via Maintenance Task List (MTL), such as chemical inventory.

2.            Interpersonal Effectiveness: The laboratory supports multiple businesses, and has a variety of customers. Technician must be able to work with a wide variety of individuals to satisfy a varying demand for results.
3.            Scientific Method: Can effectively follow defined procedures, interpret data, and identify problematic results for further investigation
4.            Teamwork : Must be able to work effectively with co-workers to balance a changing workload. Must be able to take on their share of laboratory tasks such as maintenance, cleaning, etc.

Job Requirements:
1.            Experience: Would prefer a minimum of two years in an industrial laboratory environment. Experience in related field preferred but not required.
2.            Degree: BS or BA in related field preferred but not required.
3.            Must have familiarity with normal desktop computer operations (Word, Excel, etc)
4.            Travel: No travel is expected
5.            Other: Must be physically able to negotiate stairs and work on their feet for the majority of the day.  Must be able to handle objects up to 20 lbs, and demonstrate reasonable manual dexterity for operating analytical equipment
