Kelly® Engineering is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer for a direct-hire position with a leading full-service automation solution provider in Frisco, TX! If you are passionate about shaping the world we live in and are ready to reengineer your future, trust the experts at hiring experts.  

Salary:
$75,000- $95,000 annually 

Overview:

The Automation Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems, conducting detailed analyses, implementing solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance. The ideal candidate will apply their electrical engineering expertise to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support junior engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems.

  • Conduct thorough analyses, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.

  • Design of digital Input/Output (IO) in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) controls

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in meetings and project assignments.

  • Foster a positive work environment and interact effectively with colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; Electrical Engineering is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in industrial control systems.

  • Experience in PLC programming.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to read equipment wiring schematics and create input/output lists.

  • Proven experience in electrical system design and maintenance.

  • Familiarity with UL508A, NFPA 79, NEC, and IEC codes and standards.

  • Physical ability to walk, stand, and squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment.

  • Capability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
