Laboratory Technician-Eau Claire, WI (3 Positions Available)
Job Summary
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking three Laboratory Technicians to join our client’s growing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products by performing and communicating the results of various laboratory tests. You will be responsible for sampling, inspecting, and testing a range of materials, including incoming ingredients, finished goods, and the environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Laboratory Operations:
- Coordinate sample management and testing of incoming materials, in-line samples, finished products, water, and environmental samples.
- Conduct various tests to assess conformance to quality standards, including moisture, conductivity, pH, and more.
- Release conforming materials for production.
- Prepare and send samples to external labs and maintain communication regarding testing status.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
- Perform periodic maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Enter test results into our data management system.
- Manage laboratory supplies and order new materials as needed.
- Coordinate sample management and testing of incoming materials, in-line samples, finished products, water, and environmental samples.
- Laboratory Quality Ambassador:
- Uphold Good Laboratory Practices and Laboratory Safety Standards.
- Review laboratory data for accuracy and investigate any trends.
- Support qualification, validation, and verification protocols through analyses.
- Uphold Good Laboratory Practices and Laboratory Safety Standards.
- Training and Communication:
- Communicate testing status and results to Factory Operations and other internal teams.
- Train new and existing lab personnel on methods and procedures.

- Safety and Environment:
- Promote a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and report any incidents or unsafe conditions.
- Minimize environmental impact by conserving resources and recycling materials.

- Quality:
- Adhere to food safety and quality objectives.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and report any quality issues immediately.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of quality management systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field (required).
- 2-5 years of experience in a laboratory setting with strong chemistry background (required).
- Expertise in laboratory analyses (required).
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions (required).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment (required).
- Task-oriented approach to projects and assignments (required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required); SAP experience a plus.
Pay Rate
- Competitive hourly rate dependent upon level of education and experience
Schedule
- Two positions available: weekdays, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts.
- One position available: weekends, Friday-Saturday-Sunday, 12-hour shifts.
