Chemistry Lab Technician

Kelly Science is currently recruiting for a Chemistry Lab Technician in Midlothian, TX. This position provides laboratory and operational support to ensure the production of high-quality, safe, and legal products. You will perform analyses, maintain quality control systems, and comply with regulations. The Contract Lab Tech must be committed to producing high quality, safe, and legal products that meet or exceed our customer’s specifications and comply with all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements such as FSMA, FDA, ICH, and SQF.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products according to procedures (SOPs).
- Performs routine/non-routine testing, both wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, according to SOPs, testing methods, protocols and compendia (USP/EP/JP) with minimum supervision.
- Conducts testing on finished products to support customer technical issues and/or to support the investigation of product complaints
- Maintains and cleans laboratory instruments and equipment
- Maintain laboratory data, analyze results, and generate reports following cGMP/cGLP regulations.
- Help maintain SQF certification, ensure GMP compliance, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Troubleshoot issues, participate in problem-solving, and contribute to ongoing learning and development.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow safety protocols, report incidents, and maintain a safe work environment.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Experience with analytical methods (wet chemistry, UV, ICP) preferred.
- Experience with SOPs, cGMP/cGLP, and data analysis.
- Food industry experience a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and following procedures.
Job Details:
- Competitive pay
- Monday-Friday schedule (7 am – 4 pm), with possible rotating Saturday coverage
- Up to $35 per hour
