Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking a Toolmaker/Machinist to work at a premier client in Springfield, MA.
Pay Rate: $37 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

What’s a typical day as a Toolmaker/Machinist? You’ll be:
• Utilizing CAD/CAM software and equipment such as surface grinders, CNC machines, wire EDM, and OD grinders to create and prototype product parts, components, fixtures, tooling, gauging, and other machined items.
• Taking conceptual ideas and transforming them into finished products, following all quality and production standards.
• Creating SolidWorks models, selecting materials and tooling, creating drawings, producing CNC code, and overseeing the completion of components.
• Reading blueprints and using measuring devices to make or modify existing tooling.
• Assisting with troubleshooting machining processes and equipment problems.
• Collaborating closely with engineering to create prototype tooling and parts.
• Setting up and operating all machines in the tool room.
• Understanding and performing to quality standards, utilizing inspection devices, and accurately reporting.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have 2-3 years of prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Have experience with SolidWorks and CAM software.
• Have completed an apprenticeship training program.
• Have a demonstrated ability to produce finished components from a concept or solid model.
• Possess strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Have knowledge of hydraulic and air clamping systems (a plus).
