Mechanical Design Engineer (Medical Device)
Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years’ experience in mechanical design for a contract/contract-to-hire position with our client, a medical device manufacturer located in St.Louis, MO. If you are passionate about shaping the world we live in and are ready to reengineer your future, trust the experts at hiring experts.
Responsibilities:
- Work with other teams to ensure new designs meet customer requirements.
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings using design software.
- Write test plans, conduct experiments, and create reports.
- Review design changes and verification plans.
- Support various engineering projects.
Requirements:
- BS – Mechanical Engineer or Biomedical Engineering.
- 5+ years of design engineering experience
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Ability to understand and create engineering documents.
- Strong knowledge of testing protocols and prior lab work and fixture design
- Experience working within a highly regulated industry (med device or aerospace preferred)
- Experience with plastic injection molding manufacturing
- Familiarity with manufacturing methods.
- Mechanical design and tolerance analysis skills.
- Knowledge of testing equipment/software.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
- Experience working with quality teams and providing input for IQ/OQ/PQ
