Hiring for: Electronics Maintenance Mechanic
Type: Temp- Full time, with opportunity to be hired directly with Company.
Job description
Under minimal supervision, may repair/maintain all electronic and electrical systems on machines, furnaces, and associated equipment throughout the company.
Responsibilities
- May trouble-shoot/repair electronic/electrical components on computer controlled and numeric controlled machinery and systems, other equipment such as welding, heat-treating ovens, cranes, mills, lathes, x-ray machines, etc., building electrical circuitry, or electrical/gas furnaces as needed.
- Repairs to board level and may repair to component level. Designs/installs new electrical/electronic circuitry and instruments as required. Designs/debugs PLC, LADDER software. Designs/degbugs Fanuc and other software products used in the plant.
- Performs periodic maintenance on electrical/electronic systems on all machine tools and associated equipment. Maintains records associated with periodic maintenance.
- May program all controllers and instruments on all furnaces. Assists calibration department in calibrating furnaces as required.
- Maintains adjustments on air/gas mixture to assure optimum performance. Maintains thermocouples, including ordering and assuring proper calibration.
- Fills out requisitions to order replacement and spare parts for equipment.
- Draws in CAD, line diagrams, ladder schematics for machines or building updates.
- Programs CNC machines to do 5D laser calibrations and machine capability reports. Also tests machines without an operator.
- Mentors/provides guidance assistance and training to junior Technicians.
- Maintains a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with company standards, customer, and government regulations.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires minimum of seven years related experience.
- Must posses strong electrical background. Must posses electronic theory training. The ability to work as a team player as well as independently is required.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Ability to use electrical test equipment, multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Ability to determine temperature required for proper control of components being treated.
- Manual dexterity
- Good vision with correction
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Withstand loud noise of a machine shop environment.
