Kelly Services, in collaboration with a leading company in the industrial manufacturing sector, is seeking Electro-Mechanical Technicians in the Northlake, IL area. Our client is renowned for designing, producing, and supporting packaging solutions, with a primary focus on sustainability and safety.
They are looking for several Electro-Mechanical Technicians to be a technical resource for solving maintenance reliability issues and provide some project management for projects supported by the maintenance department. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire!
Salary:
- $32 – $47/hr base wage
- +$0.75/hr for 12 hour shift
- +$2.75/hr for Nights
- +$0.75/hr for 12 hour shift
Shift:
- Days: 7:45pm – 7:45am
- Nights: 7:45am – 7:45pm
- 2-2-3 Schedule
Responsibilities:
- Acts as a resource for PLC, AC/DC variable speed drive, and electrical controls problem solving.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Manage electrical projects that are run or supported by the maintenance department.
- Supports shift maintenance teams in problem solving and troubleshooting efforts, which may require after hour call-ins.
- Ensures strict conformance to the electrical code and OSHA safety requirements for facility and production equipment.
- Provide input to the preventive and predictive maintenance efforts to improve overall equipment reliability.
- Provides strong support of departmental standards for safety, sanitation, and housekeeping.
- Support the introduction of new technology.
- Lead and training maintenance electricians as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred; High school diploma/GED required.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred; High school diploma/GED required.
- Experience:
- Previous experience as a quality control inspector preferred.
- Experience in visual inspection processes and ability to read technical materials, including print specifications.
- Previous experience as a quality control inspector preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective oral communication skills for group presentations.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Competence in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
- Skills in calculating mean, median, mode, and applying Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Capable of addressing problems with multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Virtual Client.
- Competence in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
