Mechanical Designer (King of Prussia)
Solidworks, Contract role.

Kelly Engineering is currently hiring a CAD Designer to support our clients team in King of Prussia, PA. Contract will lead Design Clean and Cataloging, is expected to run 3-6 months.  Solidworks, GD&T, and some type of PLM knowledge will be essential (client uses Windchill).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:  
Create and modify detailed drawings and assembly documents using SolidWorks from models, sketches, layouts, and notes provided by the Mechanical Engineering team.
Generate, maintain, and process Bills of Material (BOM) documentation.
Incorporate revisions into existing drawings, BOMs and documents. 
Assign part numbers for drawings, BOMS, and documents.
Work with engineers regarding drawing/document accuracy, drafting standards, and notations.
Distribute drawings to internal and external teams.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Competent and Proficient in CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, Creo, Catia, Siemens NX CAD). Solidworks test will be administered.
Associate degree or certification in drafting, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Strong understanding of drafting techniques, engineering principles, and construction methods.
Working knowledge of GD&T fundamentals.
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools for releasing technical documentation a strong plus. Windchill or TeamCenter experience is preferred, but not required.
3+ years’ related experience.
Experience designing for Sheetmetal, fabricated, machined parts and large assemblies is preferred.
Experience designing wiring harness & plastics is preferred. 

Ideal candidate will be local to King of Prussia. Role will be on-site for the first month and then there will be opportunity for hybrid work after that.
