Pay Rate: $23 to $25 per hour
Shift: Rotating  Sun -Wed / Sun – Tue 6am to 6pm  or Thur – Sat / Wed – Sat 6am to 6pm

What’s a typical day as a Maintenance Technician? You’ll be:
• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting problems, and responding to technical support calls in a prompt manner.
• Installing electrical wiring and controls for production-related equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware related to production equipment.
• Relocating production equipment and supporting the installation of new equipment as required by management.
• Tracking parts usage and providing input to management and the Inventory Analyst regarding suggested inventory levels.
• Contributing to a positive quality of work life, fostering team spirit and morale.
• Providing input to leadership regarding performance appraisals of junior technicians.
• Ensuring compliance with maintenance records in accordance with OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Consistently adhering to all safety procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent and/or technical/vocational education.
• Have vendor/equipment repair certification or experience for at least one of the insertion platforms (e.g., Blue Crest, National Presort, Pitney Bowes, Bell & Howell, Bowe, Buhrs, etc.).
• Have previous experience within a production environment with knowledge of equipment repair.
• Possess good oral and written communication skills.
• Have the ability to take direction and work effectively under time constraints.
• Can stand while working throughout the duration of assigned shift.
• Can lift, carry, and move 25+ lbs. throughout the duration of assigned shift.

Other Requirements/Minimum skills and Competencies:
• Adaptability/Flexibility: Demonstrates ability to handle a fast, ever-changing environment. Able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
• Analytical Skills: Able to separate information or problems into smaller parts to understand them more fully. Can interpret information, think critically, and identify trends.
• Basic Math Skills: Able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and work with percentages. Can use a calculator to perform mathematical functions required during maintenance and machine job configuration.
• Document Utilization: Able to interpret and work with training and/or technical documents.
• Equipment Operations Knowledge: Understands overall operation of equipment and the interrelationships of their various components. Can troubleshoot and isolate failures.
• Interpersonal Skills: Able to work in a diverse group environment. Relates well and shows respect and consideration for others; builds relationships.
• Job Knowledge: Understands and applies industry/job standards, regulations, and rules. Has a general understanding of the group’s goals and objectives.
• Mechanical Ability: Demonstrates ability to safely use a wide range of tools and equipment/machinery. Possesses a mechanical aptitude proven to accomplish required tasks.
• Multi-tasking: Able to concurrently perform several different tasks requiring a variety of skills and knowledge.
• PC Application Skills: Understands and applies a working knowledge of software programs appropriate to various job functions.
• PC Skills: Understands and applies a working knowledge of MS Windows, MS-DOS, MAC/OS, and other operating systems, computer networks, and data storage.
• Prioritizing: Able to list or order tasks and responsibilities by importance. Focuses on activities that contribute most to agreed-upon goals.
• Time Management: Uses time efficiently; works at a pace to get things done within an appropriate timeframe; meets deadlines.
• Written Communication: Able to read, write, and understand the English language. Expresses ideas in writing in an organized, articulate, concise, and grammatically correct manner.
