Rack Tester (Electronics Technicians) (Florence, Kentucky)
Our client, a global design, manufacturing, supply chain, and product management services company is hiring a very large team of Electronic Technicians (Hardware not Helpdesk, Equipment Testers)- First and third shifts available, Contract to Hire (Candidates looking for short-term work, we still want to talk to you, but this isn’t for you). Rates- Up to $24 an hour.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) verification and testing of electronic circuit board assemblies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and analyze the fault data output from AOI and act accordingly for rework.
Understand and utilize assembly documentation such as but not limited to the following: Bills of Material (BOMs), visual aids, deviations, testing tools and procedures.
Take the annual Automated Optical Inspection re-certification of operator and pass the subsequent test, in addition to manufacturing certifications.
Escalate to the appropriate technician in the event of a borderline fault.
Understand and use the Down Time Tracking and T.E.D. time ticket software.
Understand, recognize and execute Jabil production requirements, rules, policies and procedures.
Work as a team member to achieve Test/Manufacturing department’s process yield goals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required; and one or more years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong mathematical aptitude, including probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Effective communication skills to interact with managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Proficiency in operating a personal computer with a Windows-based operating system and knowledge of common software packages.
Advanced PC skills, including the ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
Problem-solving abilities to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Adaptable to standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
The ideal candidate will possess, minimum, working knowledge in Linux commands, BMC/IPMI preferred, and demonstrate proficiency in hardware knowledge, networking concepts, Linux domain and have knowledge of PCIe protocols a plus.
