Kelly Science has immediate needs for a QC Laboratory Technician to join one of our growing clients in Rochester MI. This is a fully benefitted contract role including paid holidays, PTO, medical, vision and dental insurance available.

Hourly Pay Rate: $23-$24

Responsibilities:

• Receive manufacturing samples for QC and R&D testing.
  

• Store, label, organize, and discard samples.
  

• Perform reserve/retain sample examinations.
  

• Pull stability samples for testing.
  

• Prepare solutions/reagents for laboratory analysts.
  

• Process test paperwork/documentation.
  

• Learn and perform basic QC analyses.
  

• Participate in inventory management.
  

• Input data into electronic spreadsheets, validated information management software systems, and logbooks.
  

• Recognize unusual results, trends, deviations, and/or problems; report them to laboratory management promptly.
  

• Order supplies for the department as needed.
  

• Retrieve files and records for management and customers.
  

• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science field required. Prior experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory preferred.
  

• Knowledge of basic scientific principles required. Familiarity with relevant guidelines, laboratory safety procedures, instrumentation, and MSDSs is desired.
  

• Proficiency in Windows-based software such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is highly desirable.
  

• Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large quantities of documentation.
