Job Title: R&D Supervisor/Manager

What We’re Looking For:

We seek an ambitious leader to guide our R&D team in developing and executing innovative product strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding goals and driving growth, with strong expertise in personal care and OTC product development.

How You’ll Fit In:

In this leadership role, you will oversee a dynamic team of chemists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. You will enhance existing products and create new formulations based on market trends and consumer needs, using your technical knowledge to drive impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the R&D team, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.

  • Research, formulate, and refine personal care product formulas for branded clients.

  • Innovate new products by analyzing market and ingredient trends.

  • Manage lab operations, ensuring timely project delivery and adherence to quality standards.

  • Oversee documentation, including lab books, specifications, and certificates of analysis.

  • Conduct project updates and maintain an organized lab schedule.

  • Interface with customers, presenting R&D initiatives and updates.

  • Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance and robust quality control.

  • Drive continuous process improvements and evaluate resources to meet business goals.

  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics for the R&D team, conducting annual reviews and goal-setting.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in personal care and OTC formula development, with 8+ years in product innovation.

  • Experience managing R&D teams in a medium to large contract manufacturing setting.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering innovative solutions.

  • Excellent communication and team-building abilities.

  • Background in organic and physical chemistry; preferred: Master’s degree in chemistry or related field.
