Unemployment information/instructions

Here are some links (Federal and State) where employees can find information about unemployment and disaster claim filings.  States will continue to update their sites as disaster areas get federal approval.

As stated, employees will have to file for regular unemployment benefits first.  The state will determine if they meet the monetary requirements to establish a regular claim.  If they don’t qualify for regular benefits and were unemployed due to the disaster, they can file a disaster claim once the state is approved for federal disaster unemployment assistance.
